In the Last Little While

Mason found a long lost binki under my bed.  You should have seen his reaction when he came running to me with it proudly in his hand.  I let him enjoy it for a few minutes and then told him it was time to throw it in the garbage.  He took it out of his mouth, handed it to me, and that was the end of that.  WHEW! Both boys had rainouts on our favorite TV night of the week!  We were able to spend a night couch potato-ing through American Idol and Biggest Loser.  If we are going to get rained out, let it be Tuesday!  I single handedly made sure Mike went home by voting over and over for the other 3.  I like Mike but it was his time to go.  I am very happy with the final 3.  I ultimately want Lee to win but Crystal and Casey are both good.  Casey is totally my style of music so I would be most likely to buy his album but I am pulling for Lee.  As for Biggest Loser, GO KOLI!  I LOVE grey team!  And, while I am on the sub...

Thank You

Thank you for the flower to wear to church.  Thank you for the pedicure.  Thank you for the giftcard to Maurices.  Thanks for singing in sacrament meeting with the Primary even though you wrote "I will not go up!" at least 50 times in your notebook.  Thanks for the nap.  Thank you for a wonderful dinner (chicken cordon blue).   Thanks for the extra little giftcard from my parents.  Thanks for chocolate fondue.  Thanks for chasing Mason and keeping the house in order.  Thanks for making me feel special.  Thanks for being good boys.  Thank you for being the best husband and love of my life.  I love you all .  Thank you for showing me how much you love me.  It was a great Mother's Day. Yes, this is how Mason now smiles for pictures.  Isn't it lovely!

If You Build Your House Close to a Park...

If you build your house close to a park you may just want to take a walk each morning.  Sometimes you will jog. When you finally get to the point you can go on walks while the older boys stay home, you may be blessed with a new little boy. As you figure out how to walk around the trail and keep your new little one happy at the same time you may want to stop and let him swing. If you stop to let him swing you will have to smile when he laughs and smiles.  You won't be able to help yourself. If you see him smile you will have to do it all over again each day until the weather is such that you can no longer swing. When the weather is nice again you will hit the trail with that same sweet boy who is not old enough to leave behind. If you hit the trail...you will pass the swings. Whether you want to or not you will stop.  Your sweet little boy will ask you to. Pretty soon he will ask to go on walks so he can swing. You, of course, will take him.  The more...

Cold, Soggy and Postponed

Douglas had 8 games last week.  Normally, I would say that was about the funnest thing I could think of to do but the weather was so mean and nasty that I was very frustrated.   Tuesday night we endured hurricane winds from the south.  It wasn't cold but the dirt in my eyes, hair in my mouth and ringing in my ears made it slightly annoying to sit through the game.  Russell stayed and finished up while I took Mason home before he blew away. Wednesday night was cold.  There were no winds this time but the temps were in the low 40's.  Again, not my ideal game watching weather! Thursday was the first day of a tournament.  That morning my sister and I went to visit my grandma in the VA nursing home up by the U.  When we left it was raining with the occasional snow flurry.  When we came home we drove through a blizzard.  No one would believe me if you weren't there to see it but we were going 30 mph on the belt route.  I couldn't s...
