...listening for days to Stockton be SO super excited to go bowling instead of participating in the "lame" costume parade at the Elementary School. It's a rite of passage he has been looking forward to for quite some time. He took his own money to buy pizza for his group to share.
...serving nachos to the 6th grade. As we waited for the last class to rotate in, Mason zonked on my lap.
...visiting the grandmas. Grandma's just love little dressed up grand kids more than anyone. Little dressed up grand kids love their grandmas.
...lunch with my sister. I don't know why but Halloween makes me want to go out to lunch. It feels like kind of a free-for-all day. We ended up at Famous Dave's. YUM!
...wanting homemade sugar cookies but stopping at Schmidt's Bakery to buy a few instead. See, a total free-for-all!
...frozen pizza for dinner. We had been in Vegas the 4 days prior so I didn't really have a plan. Certainly not traditional but it worked in a pinch. The "real" Halloween meal happened the week before when my mom made homemade chili to be topped with Fritos, cheese and sour cream with cornbread and honey butter. Heaven!
...an 11-yr-old boy who meticulously planned one of his final trick or treat outings with as many friends as he could round up. He dressed as a baseball player for about the 4th year in a row (original don't you think?) and made a haul. He ended up at a super fun party where he was able to trade away all of his Snickers and Milky Ways for Kit Kats. Sadly, no pictures.
...a 15-yr-old boy who hung out with a bunch of his friends. They started here and migrated. No costume for this one. And, no trick or treating that I am aware of.
...a worn out little 3-yr-old who didn't want me to take his picture before trick or treating. He was able to go with a friend and was gone for quite sometime. He walked it all and had a lot of fun. He equally enjoyed passing out candy. A few times he was too scared of the costumes and made me do it. We don't really do scary at our house. None of us like it!
