Last weekend we took a little road trip to Vegas so Douglas could play some baseball.
He personally had a great tournament and his team did really well. They made it to the semi-final game where they got their pants kicked by a team from Minnesota. Who knew?

| Push bunt. You can see the ball just on the right edge of the picture. |
 |
| Trying to make it home. |
 |
| Douglas calls this his "chubby" picture. Something was going on with his jersey as he ran and I captured a perfect view of what he will look like with a gut! Too funny:). |
 |
| We pretty much rocked this game! |
The fields were so great. Each one was at a park with nice bleachers, bathrooms and lots for the kiddos to do. Mason was happy as could be! He played with whomever showed up.
 |
| Mason got his shirt wet so he figured he would just take it off for a few hours. I am also a little embarrassed to say that he dropped his pants and peed right here in the sand but it was a bit funny! |

| See, random friend! |
We have to get Winchells any chance we get. Would you believe, 14 donuts for $7.49. What a bargain. I have yet to find a substitute for their devil's food donut. It has just the right crispy outside and soft inside and the frosting is perfect. I am ready for another dozen (no, I only ate 2:). I would totally share!) That place brings back so many high school memories...back in the day when I could afford the extra calories!

We listened to the World Series game 6 on the way down. WHAT A GAME! It was hard not to want the Rangers to win but Douglas has been a Cardinal fan since we was a small boy. He used to idolize "Mark MaDwire (McGuire)". Over the years he has used his own money to purchase an Albert Pujols jersey and a nice Cardinal leather wallet. He even choose a Cardinal tie for Easter one spring. So, we hoped for 7 games but ultimately wanted the Cardinals to win and they did not disappoint. We watched game 7 from our hotel room. We are kind of going through baseball withdrawals right now.
The weather was beautiful. The boys loved having a chance to be in their swimsuits again.
I spent the entire weekend sick! In fact, I have spent the last 3 weeks sick. It started with a sinusy, headachey type of cold, followed by a cough that WILL NOT GO AWAY!! My poor family had to share a single hotel room with me up all night coughing. They were great sports. Even now, a week later, still coughing but much less and not so violent. I might survive. It seems I have to get at least one bad cough every year:(.
And there is just something about exhausted boys all passed out in the car that makes me want to take a picture.
They are all such road-trip troopers now. Mason is easily entertained by movies and Ipods. The older boys love to listen to their music and sleep. Snacks always help, until you get 45 minutes from home and Mason threatens to puke. He held it until he got home and ended up loosing it all over his special blanket, the family room couch and a bit of the carpet. Still, much better than the car!
