For having a nice camera, I really don't have very good shots of our trip. I must admit, I haven't spent any time reading the owners manual. I need to figure out how to get better pictures than this. Nonetheless, these are the only pics I have of our really great vacation.
Highlights:
*Lots and lots of sunshine and warm weather.
*No schedule, no phone calls in, nowhere to be.
*Endless chips and guacamole, pina coladas, limes and Pepsi Light.
*Attending church in a quaint little building. The church is true and the spirit is there no matter where you are in the world!
*Walking the beach instead of the treadmill.
*Beautiful sunsets.
*Cozy oceanside lounge chairs with grass umbrellas. Perfect reading conditions.
*Watching the crabs on the rocks.
*The giant jacuzzi tub in our room.
*Service with a smile. The staff at the resort really wants you to feel special. They are the friendliest people and it was so nice to be pampered.
Not-so-Highlights:
*Too scheduled of sleepers. We weren't able to take advantage of sleeping in.
*Watching how much alcohol people drink. It is hard to believe that is how a lot of the world lives.
*Karaoke night.(No, I didn't sing, are you kidding me?)
*Watching a lady get stung by a ray the first day we were there. It made us too nervous to ever get in.
*A little too much sun on my neck that first day. I thought I was in the shade!
Have you ever seen Mexicans dressed in Japanese attire? It was a little odd but the food was good.
We walked out to a point where there was a little oceanside gazebo. We found out it was a wedding chapel. This is the view from that point of our beach.
The crabs all over the rocks. There were families of them.

*The beach attire some choose to wear. Do they think they are the only ones there? Most people should not be in a bikini!

There was a show each night in the amphitheatre. This happened to be Grease Lightening night. They tried to do a short little version of the movie. The dancing was okay but the lip-sinking was horrible. They just moved their mouths in Spanish while the music was in English. It was cheesy but worth an hour of my time!
Coming back to real life was tough. We got home on Monday night and the boys were so happy to see us. Mason didn't want me to put him down that night or the entire next day! I kind of expected that. I spent the day Tuesday doing laundry and packing to leave for St. George on Wednesday for baseball. Tuesday night I became very ill with a little bit of Mexico that I brought home with me. It was a LONG week recovering from that. I am almost back to myself today.
Douglas' team did well in their tournament. They went 4-0 in pool play only to lose their first game on playoff day. Douglas hit well, got to pitch a few innings and had a great time. We enjoyed the beautiful weather, staying with great friends in a condo and watching a lot of baseball. Mason was a trooper and didn't even complain once about having to sleep in the laundry room. Stockton got to hang with one of his dearest friends and we were glad we could make the trip.
We had 2 nice weeks of beautiful warm weather and I must say I am a little grumpy now that it has all been taken away from me. I have taken the zip up blanket out of Mason's car seat, gotten the flip flops out and refuse to go back to long-sleeved shirts! So, here I sit, with a jacket on, wishing I was back on the beach of Puerto Vallarta!
